Nordic Semiconductor takes space at flagship Assembly Bristol scheme

Nordic joins community of big names at Grade A Bristol office development

31 January 2023, Bristol - AXA IM Alts has secured Norwegian firm Nordic Semiconductor as the latest occupier at Assembly Bristol, the flagship mixed-use regeneration scheme, offering Grade A, flexible and smart workspace in the centre of Bristol.

Occupying 7,800 sq ft across the entire ninth floor of Assembly Building C, Nordic joins a community of businesses at Assembly Bristol including BT, which has let 201,000 sq ft in Building A, and Clarke Willmott, which has taken the top two floors in Building C and will relocate its head office there in the Spring of this year.

Assembly C is being developed by AXA IM Alts’ market-leading real estate platform, alongside Bell Hammer as the development partner. The Assembly Bristol development comprises three office buildings overlooking the Floating Harbour, offering a variety of spaces and floorplate sizes to its occupants. The scheme is located at the heart of the well-connected urban area of Bristol short walk to the city centre, Temple Meads Station, Cabot Circus shopping and the Floating Harbour.

Mike Davis, Wi-Fi Systems & Software Director from Nordic Semiconductor commented: “We have ambitious plans for expansion in Bristol and our move to Assembly is a crucial part of this. The location and proximity to the station were a huge draw for us, along with the potential it gives us as a business to offer a top-notch working environment for our own people, while being part of a thriving business community.”

Patrick Davis, Development Manager at Bell Hammer, said: “As a workspace, Assembly Bristol offers its community of occupiers space which is fit for the future. Built using modern methods of construction, the development has sustainability at its core. We are developing workspaces that suit new ways of working, both targeting net zero in operation and providing highly functional amenities to support employee wellness. We recognise that employers want office space that will bring their teams together, help them recruit and retain talent and be a source of pride for the business. It is a workplace built for today and ready for tomorrow”

AXA IM Alts & Bell Hammer are represented by JLL and Savills as letting agents.

Hannah Waterhouse, Director, Office Agency at JLL, commented: “As this landmark scheme begins to make its mark on the city, we are continuing to see interest from firms based locally and those relocating to Bristol.”
