Returned, rested and ready: the phone box is back

As we head back to the office after a delightfully long summer, exchanging stories of where we went on our holidays, one of Assembly Bristol’s public art sculptures also had an outing of its own.

The Assembly phone box, which normally stands outside Building A, put its out of office on and made its way to 10 Downing Street this July.

Relocating in time for a No 10 reception for online British content creators, including its designer, acclaimed sculptor Alex Chinneck, the phone box was visited by Larry the Cat, amongst others, and around 90 guests from the world of digital, design, personal finance, education and lifestyle.

If you want to see 'Wring ring' for yourself, it’s now safely back at ‘home’ outside Building A, alongside Alex’s other two public art sculptures, ‘First kiss at last light’ and ‘Alphabetti Spaghetti’.
